Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House is the original Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast.   Established in 1939, Hilda Crockett provided meals to locals on Tangier Island as well as accommodations and lodging for guests and visitors to Tangier Island. The traditional continues, even today.

No where else on Tangier Island is offered both an "all you can eat" breakfast, as well as an "all you can eat" lunch, or dinner in their Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast accommodation rate.
Your accommodation rate include overnight at one of our two above Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast locations.  Our rooms for our guests are located in the Tangier Island home as shown above.  Also we have rooms above Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House Restaurant shown above right.  When calling for reservations, ask about and our "Family Accommodations"  In years past Hilda Crockett's Famous Chesapeake House was called a boarding house. Today we are a Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast, others call us a "Tangier Island Mini Hotel".   Regardless of what we are considered, we offer warmth, comfort, and relaxation to all those who visit, Tangier Island style.

When making reservations, let us know which boat you're coming in on and we will glad meet you at the Boat Dock and bring you to the Chesapeake House if you're staying overnight. This applies to those who fly in as well.

For each guest that stays overnight with us here at our original Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast, we include breakfast, lunch, or dinner in our accommodation rate. Our Guests are picked up at the Tangier Island Boat Dockage area when they arrive on Tangier Island and are taken back for departure from the Island, same applies to Guest who fly into the Tangier Island Airport.
