Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House is the original Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast.   Established in 1939, Hilda Crockett provided meals to locals on Tangier Island as well as accommodations and lodging for guests and visitors to Tangier Island. The traditional continues, even today.

No where else on Tangier Island is offered both an "all you can eat" breakfast, as well as an "all you can eat" lunch, or dinner in their Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast accommodation rate.

     These typical Chesapeake Bay Tangier Style Homes offer warmth and comfort to those who visit. You are centrally located on Tangier Island to nearby shops, Tangier Island boat dockage, and only a short distance from the Tangier Island Airport and beach...........

In years past, the "Chesapeake House" has been called a Tangier Island boarding house to those who visited Tangier Island during the early 20th century; but now, it is considered a unique Chesapeake Bay Bed and Breakfast.  Here on Tangier Island, the Chesapeake House has maintained its Chesapeake Bay heritage offering guests to Tangier Island a reflection of times past, yet providing the comforts of today. 

For each guest that stays overnight with us here at our original Tangier Island Bed and Breakfast, we include
breakfast, lunch, or dinner in our accommodation rate. Our Guests are picked up at the Tangier Island Boat Dockage area when they arrive on Tangier Island and we  are taken back for departure from the Island, same applies to Guest who fly into the Tangier Island Airport.
